Boils and abscesses
Minor wounds and insect bites
Eczema and skin rashes
Splinters, thorns, and ingrown hairs
Mildly infected areas of the skinÂ
Ingredients
The ointment typically contains Bituminol (3g per 100g) and methyl salicylate (3g per 100g) in the 25g formulation. Larger 50ml versions may also include ichthammol (ammonium bituminosulfonate) combined with botanical oils, waxes, and herbal extracts such as beeswax, olive or sunflower oil, calendula, and comfrey, which provide antiseptic and soothing support.
How to Apply
Clean the affected area with mild soap and water, then pat dry.
Apply a thin layer of 8-Trek Drawing Ointment directly to the affected site.
Cover with a sterile dressing, plaster, or gauze to hold the ointment in place.
Leave in place for 12–24 hours and reapply daily as needed until improvement is seen.
For splinters, repeat application until the splinter is drawn close to the surface for safe removal.
For the 25g ointment, it is recommended to apply 3 to 4 times daily and cover with an occlusive dressing.
